Gabrielle Desmond

(she/her)

Psychologist & Director (she/her)

Hi, I’m Gabby ,  an AuDHD psychologist and the founder of Unfurl Psychology.

I’m deeply passionate about supporting the neurodivergent community, especially those who’ve spent a long time feeling misunderstood, too much, or not enough. I started Unfurl not only to better accommodate my own neurotype (working from home with my dogs, in my jammies… hello 👋), but because I could clearly see a gap in the kind of support that actually works for neurodivergent people.

My goal is to offer therapy that is relational, low-demand, and genuinely judgement-free. No pressure to perform. No “fixing” who you are. Just a space where you can show up as yourself and take things at your own pace.

I’m EMDR trained and enjoy integrating parts work and schema concepts, but I believe the relationship in therapy is the core of meaningful change. Your sessions are your sessions , they don’t need to follow a script or agenda. We’ll let things flow in the way that feels most supportive for you.

Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me upside down at a pole or aerials studio, at the beach in my Jimny with the dogs, or binge-reading romantasy on my Kindle (no shame whatsoever).

I can’t wait to meet you.

Emily Langron

(she/her)

Psychologist (she/her)

Hi, I’m Emily (Em). I’m a psychologist, an ADHDer, and a former teacher. Before retraining as a psychologist, I worked in education for 13 years. That background still shapes how I work with young people and families. I tend to be practical, warm, and focused on strategies that actually fit into real life.

I’ve lived and worked in the UK and across regional and remote parts of Australia, including North Queensland and the Kimberley. Those experiences really influenced my values and the way I practise. I try to approach people with care, curiosity, and respect for their individual context and story.

Supporting neurodivergent people (and those who are wondering whether they might be), is a big part of my work. As someone who was late diagnosed with ADHD, I care a lot about helping people understand themselves, reduce shame, and feel more connected to who they are. I’m an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and First Nations peoples, and I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and genders.

In sessions, you can expect someone warm, a little quirky, and fairly chatty. I want you to feel comfortable and able to be yourself. I work collaboratively and flexibly, because at the end of the day, therapy should focus on what matters to you.

Outside of work, I’m usually reading on my Kindle, walking my dogs, or spending time with family and friends. I love swimming at the beach, good coffee, travelling, and trying different foods. Japanese food is my go-to dopamine meal. I also really value quiet time at home to recharge.

I look forward to meeting you!

Meet Emily

Em might be a good fit if you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, or sensory differences, or if you’re exploring Autism or ADHD (whether you’re just starting to question or already have a diagnosis) She works with people to help them better understand themselves, build regulation skills, and find practical tools that actually fit into day-to-day life.

She’s also passionate about supporting teens and young people who are having a tough time with schooling, and she works with parents to help them better understand their child’s needs and diagnosis.

Em offers trauma-informed, decolonised care and warmly welcomes First Nations clients, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone looking for support with self-esteem, confidence, self-compassion, or simply a safe, understanding space to talk things through.

Louise

Virtual Admin Support (she/her)

Louise is a South Australian mum of two (plus their dog, Norman!) who brings warmth, organisation, and care to everything she does. Often found with a coffee in hand and music playing in the background, she balances work and family life with ease. Outside of work, Louise enjoys supporting her children’s sporting and extracurricular activities, spending time at the beach, and sharing a good laugh.

When you contact Unfurl, you may hear back from Louise.

Honourary Team Members

Not on the payroll, but definitely part of the team. Our honourary members mostly contribute by napping, supervising snack breaks, and occasionally making a guest appearance on Telehealth calls. They take their roles as emotional support crew very seriously (unless the mailman is nearby).
