Therapy for sex, kink & non-monogamy that’s open and judgement-free

Talking about sex, intimacy, kink, or non-monogamy can feel hard in spaces where you’re worried about being misunderstood, judged, or pathologised.  You don’t have to explain or justify your way of relating here.

This is a space where diversity in sexuality, relationship structures, and desire is respected, and where we can explore what matters to you with care, clarity, and curiosity.

Therapy is led by your pace, your values, and what feels safe and meaningful for you.

Unfurl is different.

We’re a neuroaffirming, low demand space.

You don’t have to come in with everything explained or figured out

There is no pressure to “perform”, mask, or show up in a certain way

No homework and a pace that actually works for you

Your experiences are taken seriously, even if you don’t have a diagnosis

Who is this for?

This is for those who are exploring or living within:

  • Non-monogamous relationships (including, but not limited to, open relationships, polyamory, relationship anarchy)

  • Kink, BDSM, or alternative sexual interests

  • Sex-positive identity and values

  • Navigating stigma, shame, or misunderstanding from others

  • Communication or boundaries within complex relationship structures

  • Jealousy, insecurity, or attachment challenges in non-traditional relationships

  • Identity exploration around sexuality, desire, or intimacy

  • Wanting a therapist who “gets it” without shame or judgment

What you might explore here:

  • Communication and consent within complex relationships

  • Boundaries, agreements, and renegotiating needs over time

  • Jealousy, insecurity, and emotional regulation in non-monogamous dynamics

  • Shame, stigma, or internalised beliefs about sexuality or desire

  • Attachment needs across multiple relationships

  • Navigating disclosure, identity, or “coming out” in different spaces

  • Building trust, safety, and emotional connection in alternative relationship structures

  • Balancing autonomy, connection, and emotional wellbeing

  • Exploring sexuality, kink, or desire without judgement or pressure

How we might support you:

We take a sex-positive, kink-aware, and non-monogamy-affirming approach that centres respect, consent, and your lived experience. There’s no assumption that your relationships need to be "fixed" or monogamous. Instead, we focus on understanding your experiences, reducing shame, and strengthening communication, safety, and emotional clarity.

We might work on:

  • Building stronger communication and boundary-setting skills

  • Navigating jealousy or emotional triggers in a grounded way

  • Unpacking shame or stigma around sexuality or kink

  • Strengthening connection and trust in your relationships

  • Supporting identity exploration and self-acceptance

  • Helping you feel more confident and resourced in your choices

Therapy is collaborative, paced, and always guided by what feels safe and relevant for you.
