Emily (she/her)

Psychologist

Hi, I’m Emily (Em). I’m a psychologist, an ADHDer, and a former teacher. Before retraining as a psychologist, I worked in education for 13 years. That background still shapes how I work with young people and families. I tend to be practical, warm, and focused on strategies that actually fit into real life.

I’ve lived and worked in the UK and across regional and remote parts of Australia, including North Queensland and the Kimberley. Those experiences really influenced my values and the way I practise. I try to approach people with care, curiosity, and respect for their individual context and story.

Em's Vibes, Passions and Who she Sees

Supporting neurodivergent people (and those who are wondering whether they might be), is a big part of my work. As someone who was late diagnosed with ADHD, I care a lot about helping people understand themselves, reduce shame, and feel more connected to who they are. I’m an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and First Nations peoples, and I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and genders.

In sessions, you can expect someone warm, a little quirky, and fairly chatty. I want you to feel comfortable and able to be yourself. I work collaboratively and flexibly, because at the end of the day, therapy should focus on what matters to you.

But who is she outside of therapy?

Outside of therapy, I’m usually reading on my Kindle, walking my dogs, or spending time with family and friends. I love swimming at the beach, good coffee, travelling, and trying different foods. Japanese food is my go-to dopamine meal. I also really value quiet time at home to recharge.
